In the crazy
moments of life we can hear these words:
"You
don't know what you are doing."
"You
don't have it all together."
"Everything
you do fails."
We can believe
these words because of the season of life we are in. These words can start to
bog us down and make us unhappy with the way life is going. In some areas of
our life these words can also make us give up altogether. But God says
different.
For this post,
I want to draw your attention to the verse below:
“For we are
God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the
good things he planned for us long ago.”
Ephesians 2:10
NLT
A couple of
posts ago, we looked at Jeremiah 29:11. In that verse we see that God has good
plans for us. He wants us to have a great, bright future. In the verse we just
read, Paul re-emphasizes that same idea. God knows our lives. King David said
it this way:
“You have
searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you
perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you
are familiar with all my ways. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days
ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to
be." -Psalm 139:1-3 & 16 NIV
God knows all
about us. God knows every day of our lives. God knows the choices that we are
going to make tomorrow, next week, next month and next year. God wants nothing
but good for us. God wants us to succeed and be prosperous in life. Even though
we all make the choices that drive the vehicle we call life, God has a good end
in mind.
But the voice
of the Devil can creep in on us and make us confused and get us off track of
what God has for us. The Devil doesn't want us to be a part of the plan that
God has for us and for the life that it brings. So the Devil will say anything
to make us feel anything and everything that is the opposite of what God says.
It comes down
to trust. We have to trust God when it comes to this life. He's got life
figured out. Not just life--our life.
