If this is a
voice that you hear, I'm sorry.
But I know
it's a feeling that a lot of people have. It can come at the end of a long
relationship, during a bitter divorce, a parent that abandons you, a friend
that turns on you or anything else that might fit here. These moments stir up loneliness
and all of the questions and doubts that go with it.
But there is
someone, even when it seems there is no one else, who cares a great deal about
you. In fact, He knows all about you. The highs and lows. The good, bad and
ugly. The past, present and the future. God knows it all, and He cares a great
deal about it all. He cares a great deal about you.
This is what David writes
in the book of Psalms:
“You made all
the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is
marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter
seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I
was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid
out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O
God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the
grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!” - Psalms
139:13-18 NLT
God is there
at every turn. God is there on the mountaintop. God is there in the darkest
valleys. God is there in the fears and the failures. God is there.....always.
God has a love
for you that is unbroken, unchanged and unending. No matter where you are or
what you have done, God's love for you will never diminish. It only increases.
It was God's plan all along. John says this:
“This is real
love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a
sacrifice to take away our sins. - 1 John 4:10 NLT
God is love.
He cares a great deal about you. He loves you more than anything in the world.
He thinks you are very special.
