Thank YOU Notes - part 2 - Thanks of Others

Today is Thanksgiving Day. So this week I asked some people what they were thankful for. So I hope you enjoy this short little post and the answers to the series of questions that I asked others.

I want to leave you with two verses and then you can read the simple things that others and I are thankful for.

“Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.” 1 Chronicles 29:13, NIV

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” Psalms 100:4, NIV

These are my answers to the questions;

What food are you thankful for? – I really like SHRIMP!!

What sight are you thankful for? – The scenery in Kentucky and Tennessee as you are driving south

What song are you thankful for? – Blessed Assurance – I love the Elevation Worship version.

What small thing that happened today are you thankful for? – Brownies!

Who in your life are you thankful for? – The older people in my life. I know that may seem mean, but I am thankful for them as they have helped me through some times.

What are you most thankful for? – My family. My wife and my two kids. I am especially thankful for my son who is still with us.

Here are the answers of others;

What food are you thankful for? Anything Hacienda!

What sight are you thankful for? I love looking at the stars at night and reflecting on God's awesomeness!

What song are you thankful for? "It is Finished"

What small thing that happened today are you thankful for? Grandaddy got out of the hospital.

Who in your life are you thankful for? My family

What are you most thankful for? God's blessings on me.

What food are you thankful for? Things that can be eaten quickly and one handed

What sight are you thankful for? Sunsets

What song are you thankful for? "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"

What small thing that happened today are you thankful for? I got a nap!

Who in your life are you thankful for? My husband and my son.

What are you most thankful for? Having a supportive family and friends

I hope you enjoyed this post. There is a lot to be thankful for. I hope on this day that you can find something to be thankful for and just thank God for it.

God, You Failed

"God, you failed me!” Many of us have probably heard these words, thought these words, or even said these words. We get tired of waiting for God to do something. We feel like God’s inbox is full and our prayers are just bouncing off the ceiling and coming right back at us. So, in some cases and with some people, they give up and say “God, you failed me!” I feel these words in certain areas of the Bible: Peter, Paul, Moses, Joseph, the disciples and the people that followed and believed in Jesus just to watch Him get crucified. “...where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord.... Psalm 121:1-2 NIV Ahhhh..... patience. That’s it. That’s all I have for this post. Anyone suffer from a lack of patience? So in this series of posts we are looking at a few of those kind of things and trying change our focus to the One that can give us true help with these things.
